In our latest Zoom gathering, Jermaine Goupall’s family celebrated his life and talked about the steps they are taking to positively impact communities in his memory.
Jermaine Goupall, at the age of 15, lost his life through knife crime on the 8 August 2017, in Thornton Heath, South London. Sharing photos and videos, Jermaine’s family talked about Jermaine’s zest for life and care for others. They are creating a foundation in Jermaine’s name called Justice for Jermaine (JfJ).
Recently, Jermaine’s sister, Tilisha, has visited a local primary school, telling the story of Jermaine’s life to year 5 and 6 children, enabling them to learn about knife crime in an unthreatening way, which encourages empathy and equips them for their future.
Val and Tilisha use Jermaine’s story to educate local primary school children about knife crime
